Premier match de la saison, et on ne pouvait pas rêver mieux pour se lancer. On a battu le Grasshopper Club Zurich 2-0 à domicile, et je peux dire que ce résultat reflète vraiment ce qu'on a produit sur le terrain.

Dès le coup d'envoi, on a imposé notre jeu. On alternait les accélérations en profondeur et les combinaisons courtes, et GCZ avait du mal à suivre notre rythme. Les occasions se sont multipliées — peut-être plus que ce que le score reflétait, car les poteaux et quelques arrêts nous ont privées d'un score bien plus large. Les corners courts qu'on a obtenus n'ont pas abouti non plus. Mais on ne s'est pas laissé déconcentrer pour autant.

GCZ a joué physique, clairement. On savait que ce serait le cas. On a tenu notre plan, on a couru plus qu'elles, et on a fini par faire la différence. Ma sœur Tess et moi avons chacune marqué — je ne vais pas faire semblant que ça ne compte pas un peu plus que d'habitude quand c'est en famille !

Ce qui m'a vraiment frappée dans ce match, c'est la cohésion de l'équipe. Certaines joueuses — dont des plus jeunes qui ne jouent pas toujours avec nous — se sont intégrées avec une facilité remarquable. La communication était constante, la solidarité défensive aussi : on n'a concédé aucun corner sur phase arrêtée, et notre cage est restée inviolée. C'est une vraie base sur laquelle construire.

Belle façon de démarrer. Fière de cette équipe.

First game of the season, and what a way to start. We beat Grasshopper Club Zurich 2-0 at home, and honestly, the result felt like a fair reflection of the game we played.

From the first whistle we set the tempo — mixing long runs in behind with quick passing combinations that kept GCZ on the back foot. Chances came, probably more than the scoreline suggests. Posts, near misses, a few short corners that didn't quite convert. There were moments where we could have made it much more comfortable for ourselves. But we didn't let that frustration creep in, and that's something I'm really pleased about.

GCZ were physical — we knew they would be. We matched them, and then we outran them. Tess and I both got on the scoresheet, which I won't pretend doesn't feel a little special when it's your sister on the other end of the move.

What impressed me most, though, was the collective. We had some younger players and a few who don't always feature with us stepping into the lineup today, and they slotted in brilliantly — communication was sharp, defensive cover was there, and we kept a clean sheet without conceding a single short corner. That's a real foundation to build on.

Proud of this group. Good things ahead.
